Installing SLA Invoice Manager for JIRA
Automated Installation
- In the upper right corner of JIRA, open the JIRA Administration Menu->Add-Ons
- Login with your JIRA credentials
- Search the Marketplace for SLA Invoice Manager
- Click on the SLA Invoice Manager listing to expand it
- Click on "Free Trial" to start a free 30 day trial of SLA Invoice Manager to purchase a license. Both of these will download Teams for JIRA Service Desk to your instance.
- If you have already purchased a license, go to Manage-Add-Ons and locate the Teams for JIRA Service Desk Add-On after it has been installed. Click on the license key area and paste your license from the Atlassian Marketplace, then click "Update" to activate your license.
Initial Configuration
Before SLA Invoice Manager can be used, some initial configuration is required.
System User
To perform some operations, a system user is required. This system user is used to retrieve all issues that belong to a contract and requires acces to all your JIRA projects.
Acces to SLA Invoice Manager
In order to be able to use SLA Invoice Manager three groups need be defined. For each group you can select your own JIRA group.
Project manager group
The project manager is allowed to view clients, contracts and update / approve hours.
Financial administrator group
The financial administrator is allowed to view clients, contracts and create invoices based on approved hours.
Contract administrator group
The contract administrator is allowed to create and maintain clients and contracts.
To setup your configuration:
Make sure you have have the JIRA permission Browse Users otherwise you cant use the user and group picker
- Log in as a JIRA system admininistrator
- Choose Administration in the menu
- Use the 'user-picker' to select your System User
- Select a group from the list that you want to be Project manager
Select a group from the list that you want to be Financial administrator
Select a group from the list that you want to be Contract administrator
Click Save.
Delete all data
To delete all data from SLA Invoice Manager:
- In the upper right corner of JIRA, open the JIRA Administration Menu->Add-Ons
- Login with your JIRA credentials
- Browse to General Configuration in the SLA Invoice Manager section in the left-hand menu.
Click Delete all data.
A confirmation dialog will be shown
If you are sure you wish to remove all data click Delete all data.
